Vision
- We will live
a life that will be a reflection of Christ, so that the world
will see Christ in us, the Hope of Glory.
- We will do the
work of ministry, reaching out to others in all areas of life.
- We will walk
in liberty so others can see and know that once Christ has set
them free they are free indeed.
- In all that
we do Christ will be glorified.
And the Lord
answered me, and said; "Write the vision, and make it plain
upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." (Habakkuk
2:2)
Mission
- To reach out
to men, women, and children who are less fortunate.
- To live a life
that others will see Christ.
- To minister
to the oppressed, depressed and those who are spiritually bound.
- To reach souls
at any cost.
Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe
all things, whatsoever I have commanded you and lo, I am with
you always, even to the end of the world.
(Matthew 28:19)

Statement of Faith
- We believe the
Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God.
(2 Peter 1:19-21)
- We believe that
there is one God, eternally existent and manifested in three
person; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.
(1 John 5:7)
- We believe in
the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the church of God,
which is in Christ Jesus, at His return.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
- We believe that
the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance
and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.
(John 3:16)
- We believe that
regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal
salvation.
(Acts 19:2)
- We believe that
the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides for the propitiation
of our transgressions and iniquities. It also provides healing
for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
(Isaiah 53:5)
- We believe,
in the supernatural ministry of the Holy Ghost, who bestows spiritual
gifts to born again believers.
(1 Corinthians 12:4)
- We believe in
the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling,
the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in
this present world.
(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

Church
History
Pastor
Willie and First Lady Ellis labored for nine years at New Birth
United Church of God, Inc. now Word Alive Ministries, under the
leadership of Pastor Anthony Dixon. Pastor Ellis knew for a long
time that God had called him to pastor. November of 2000 Pastor
Ellis yielded to the voice of God. God gave him the name "Liberty",
2 Corinthians 3:17 - "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and
where the Spirit of the Lord is there is LIBERTY." He
did not share what God told him with his wife until January 1,
2001. She was very supportive about what God had called him to
do and has been by his side every step of the way. After much
prayer God gave them favor and allowed them to lease a space
at the Airport Executive Suites, 2459 Roosevelt Highway in College
Park, Georgia. They shared the vision with their parents Mother
Betty Ellis, and Mother Gloria Dixon. They began to pray and
within two weeks with the help of others they beautified the
sanctuary.
Our first service
was held Sunday, February 4, 2001 at 10:45 a.m. The members already
on roll were Pastor Ellis, First Lady Ellis, Angel, Isaiah, Bryan
and Taqusia. God also blessed both of their mothers, along with
others to say they wanted to be apart of the ministry.
God allowed Liberty
to walk through the doors of our second location on September
2, 2001, 1588 Conley Road in Conley, Georgia. Due to damage of
the structure to the building, we were forced to move out of
the building and were homeless for a month. 1st Conely Baptist
Church, a ministry that did not know anything about us, opened
their doors and allowed us to temporarily have services. After
a month we went back to our roots on Roosevelt highway for seven
months. Our faith was being tested and we were able to see God
move and know that God was still with us.
Pastor learned
of a building on Sylvan Road and enquired about it. He was told
the building was available but later they said it was taken.
He went back two months later to the same building because he
saw a vision the first time and enquired again. God turned things
around and we were able to worship in that building for two years.
During our 4th Church Anniversary God spoke a word to Pastor
Ellis that we would be in our own building by our 5th Church
Anniversary, our year of grace. February 16, 2006 at 3:30 p.m.
Liberty Deliverance Ministries, Inc. closed on our own building
at 452 Springside Drive with 3.5 acres of land. The first worship
service was held Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 10:30 a.m.
Liberty
had fellowshiped with Temple of Prayer United Church of God in
Christ in 2001, and God had spoke to Pastor Ellis about becoming
a part of the United Church of God In Christ organization in
2003. We made a covenant with the Family and worship District
under the leadership of the now Jurisdictional Bishop of the
Alabama/Georgia Northeast District Bishop Aaron B. Lackey. In
June of 2005, God elevated Pastor Ellis to become Superintendent
of a newly formed district, the Liberty and Truth District. God
also elevated Lady Ellis to the ministry of District Missionary
of that district.
God has called
this ministry to renew, reflect, and reach-out. Through
the teaching and preaching of God's word. Our pastor teaches
that we can be renewed in the spirit of our mind. During
the first year we were able to reach-out and minister
to those on the streets of the Urban Atlanta area by feeding
them naturally and spiritually. We also ministered to individuals
with substance abuse problems and to women and children at a
homeless shelter. We believe through the pure word of God, we
all can live a life that will reflect Christ.
