Pastor Ellis Bio

Pastor Willie R. Ellis, Jr. is a man after God's own heart. He is a man that truly has a heart for God's people. Through his preaching and teaching the Word of God many have been delivered and set free. God has given him a vision to renew, reflect, and reach-out to souls at any cost. He believes that we should be renewed in the spirit of our mind and let our lives become a reflection of Christ so we can reach-out and help somebody else. Pastor Ellis, himself, went to a crack house to rescue one of his members. Because of the heart that God has given him, many have been drawn to the ministry.

Prior to stepping out on faith he served faithfully for nine years at New Birth United Church of God, Inc. now Word Alive Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Dixon. Some of the areas he served in were as a pastor's aid, an usher, on the praise team, in church ministry, on the advisory board, in the men's ministry, and on the ministerial staff.

November of 2000 Pastor yielded to the voice of God. God gave him the name "Liberty", 2 Corinthians 3:17 - Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is LIBERTY. He did not share what God had given him with his wife until January 1, 2001 and she was very supportive about what God had called him to do. The first worship service was held February 4, 2001 at Airport Executive Suites, 2459 Roosevelt Highway in College Park, Georgia.

Pastor Ellis was born June 19th to Betty Jo Ellis and to the late Willie R. Ellis. He is the second of six children and was educated in the Dekalb County School System. He holds an AA in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights Bible College and is currently pursuing his BA in Biblical Education.

Pastor Ellis is married to the love of his life Evangelist Rachel Ellis, and the father of four beautiful children, Angel, Isaiah, Bryan and Taqusia.
